Intense Clashes Erupt Near Encounter in Handwara, At least Five Injured

Intense Clashes have erupted between protesters and government forces erupted in Handwara in North Kashmir’s district where two Militants have been killed in a gunfight between militants and forces.

A Local told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday hundreds of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to intense tear smoke shelling.

In the action of Forces, five youth have been injured, three of whom have been shifted to the hospitals for treatment.

People in large numbers from adjacent areas shouting pro independence and pro Militancy slogans are trying marching towards the encounter site.



Earlier an encounter started between Militants and Government Forces at Babagund area of Langate in North Kashmir’s Handwara area.
