Jammu Kashmir Police Arrests 2 Drug Peddlers in Srinagar

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers in Kadwara area of Srinagar.

Detailing the incident, the Police said that a Police party of Police Station M.R.Gunj  headed by SHO Police Station M.R.Gunj  Ayaz Geelani under the supervision of  SDPO Maharajgung  Feroz Qadri apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered codeine Phosphate from their possession.

During the naka at Syed Kocha Kawdara on Nalamar road an auto bearing registration No. JK01V 4404 was stopped for routine checking.

During checking  48 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from theor possession.

The two were identified as Wajid Ahmed Beigh S/o Gh. Mohammad R/O Shadab Colony Ellahibagh and his accomplace namely Aabid Hassan Dar S/o. Late Gh. Hassan R/o Bakshiabad Colony Batamaloo.

The two, as per Police, intended to sell the drugs among the youth of Srinagar especially Downtown area.

In this connection Case FIR No.38/19 U/S 8/22 NDPS stands registered and investigation taken up.
