Khursheed- An Aspiring KAS Officer and a Militant for Two Days

The sojourn of Khurshid Ahmad Malik son of Gh Nabi Malik resident of Arbal village of Pulwama who was missing from last two days has ended in Drusoo sopore encounter.

Khurshid as per family sources has completed his B Tech and was preparing for KAS.

According to his family, Khursheed on Tuesday morning told them that he has to submit a form for KAS but did not return since then and his phone too was switched off.

They later lodged his missing report at Police station Pulwama.

His family members appealed every organisation to return khursheed home however he returned but only dead.

In a video that went viral on social media, his family appealed him to leave militancy and return home.

Family Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Khurshid called home  late night and said he is trapped however police,  said that they tried their best to convince him to surrender but he rejected.

His family says he was never inclined towards militancy however his friends maintain that he  was connected with militants from last two years.

Before khurshid, 0n june 20 Aadil Akram lone son of Mohammad Akram lone resident of Midoora Tral was killed just two hours after joining ranks in an encounter at Nazneenpora Hayuna area of Tral.

On 7 May, A kashmir university professor namely Mohammad Rafi Bhat from Ganderbal was killed in just 40 hours after joining ranks at Badigam shopian along with HM Commander Sadam Padder and 3 others.

Meanwhile the shelf life of militants in Kashmir is going down day by day.

As per top officials “Earlier the shelf life of a militant in Kashmir was between six and eight months which has further gone down now to about three to four months now,”.
