Kotwal Mohalla in Islamabad Township Shuts Against Nocturnal Arrests

The Kotwal Mohalla area of Islamabad (anantnag) township in South Kashmir has shut against nocturnal arrests during which several youth including the brothers of active Militant Tariq Khan have been detained.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that at least 20 youth have been picked up during nocturnal raids in various parts of the township including Nazuk Mohallah, Kotwal Mohalla, Cheeni Chowk, Lal Chowk, Anzwalla and others.

During these nocturnal raids, the Forces also raided the house of Lashkar Militant, Tariq Ahmed Khan, who has been active since June last year, the brothers have been identified as Waheed Ahmed Khan and Abid Ahmed Khan.

Two Days ago, their father Nazir Ahmed Khan had been detained for questioning, he was later released.

A top Police official confirming the arrests said that the youth have been during nocturnal arrests, however he refused to comment on the number of the youth detained.

Kotwal Mohalla, the native of Tariq Ahmed Khan has shut against the arrests.

Tariq Ahmed Khan went missing in June last year after an encounter took place in his house between Militants and Government Forces, his photo carrying a gun saying he had joined Lashkar e Taiba.
