On May 04, 2018 the media and the Government Forces declared that the Burhan group was finished after the killing of Saddam Padder in Shopian’s badigam on that day.
Some prominent newspapers featured the story “Closed Album” after Police officials said that Saddam was the last surviving member of the group.
Soon The Kashmiriyat ran a story rebutting the claims and counter claiming that one more member other than Tariq Pandit who was arrested from the popular Burhan photo was alive.
In Burhan’s group photo, Lateef had been wrongly given name of his friend ishfaq who joined ranks with tiger however was killed with his two associates at Pangzam village of Pulwama district in year 2015.
Lateef tiger a 12th class dropout and a carpenter by profession joined militant ranks along with his friend ishfaq in year 2014.
Both were booked under PSA and after spending few months in Kuthua, they were released a day before eid and were asked to report concerned police station after a week however after spending 3 to 4 days at home, they left home and after few days people came to know that they have joined militant ranks.
The Forces had claimed that Lateef Ahmed Dar (alias tiger) joined the Militant ranks in 2014 with his friend Ishfaq, the forces claimed that he was killed in Drubgam area of Pulwama in a gunfight on October 26, 2015.
Lateef Tiger’s photo’s went viral on Social networking with the most educated Militant commander, Sabzar Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Naina area in Sangam area of South Kashmir.
The Forces last night raided his house in the Dogripora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District and arrested two of his brothers named Nadeem Dar and Zubair Ahmed and also picked up their father.
Police however denied that they have been arrested and said that they have been called for routine investigation
