No Leaves to Policemen from South Kashmir

With the militant attacks on policemen on leave witnessing a surge in south Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir Police have asked the Police Training Schools in the state not to grant any leave to trainees from the region.

In an order to the principals of the Trainning Schools in the state, the Senior Superintendent of Jammu Kashmir Police for Pulwama has written, “In view of the prevailing militancy scenario, no permission/ leave may kindly be granted to the recruit constables of District Pulwama who are presently undergoing BRTC (Basic Recruitment Training Course) in your respective training schools/centres.”

Sources informed that a similar order has been issued from other districts of south Kashmir to the principals of police training schools.

The communication was sent after three policemen were killed and two escaped a bid on life at their native villages in south Kashmir on Eid as they were on a leave to celebrate eid with their families. (The Kashmiriyat)
