Nobody Willing to Be Leader of Jaish e Muhammad, We have Crushed them- Says Indian Army

The Indian Army on Wednesday said that following the Pulwama attack on 14 February, the forces Government Forces have killed sixty nine Militants and suppressed the Militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad which was held responsible for the Pulwama attack that killed 49 CRPF men.

KJS Dillon, GOC 15 Corps said that nobody was ready to take over the leadership of militant outfit, Jaish e Muhammad, while adding that the Militant recruitment has gone down against the last year.

He held that the continuous crackdown and the muscle policy of Indian Armed Forces was the reason that there had been a decline in the recruitment of local Kashmiri people in militant.

“Total 69 militants have been killed and 12 have been apprehended this year. Post Pulwama 41 militants have been killed and out of them 25 belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammed, 13 of them were Pakistanis,” he told the media while addressing a joint presser in Srinagar with Jammu Kashmir Police.

Dhillon said that the Anti Militancy operations will continue with full intensity and the forces will not let militancy rise up.
