On Election Day, Forces Rain Pellets on Youth in Kulgam Area, Five Injured

Five youth have been injured as forces fired tear smoke shells and pellets at the youth who were holding protests against the elections in South Kashmir’s Kulgam area.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that five youth have sustained pellet injuries during intense clashes that erupted in Kujjar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

They said that two of them have been shifted to SMHS hospital while three are being treated in District Hospital Anantnag.

Hospital Sources in DH Islamabad (anantnag) confirmed the identity of the youth as Khalid Ahmad, He has sustained pellet injuries on his right eye.

Waseem Ahmad has suffered injury on his eye, Rasik has sustained pallet injuries on his whole body.

Shakir and Zahid who has sustained pallet injuries in their eyes have been referred to a Srinagar Hospital for advanced treatment
