Pulwama Attack- Omar Abdullah Says Attacks on Kashmiris Will Alienate them Further from India

Amid growing attacks on Kashmiris outside Kashmir in wake of Pulwama attack, The Former Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir and National Conference vice president, Omar Abdullah on Sunday said that carrying out attacks against Kashmiris the state alienate them further from India.

Omar Tweeted, “Our enemies & those who back terrorism in J&K have been trying to drive this wedge so please please let’s not do their job for them. Kashmir isn’t just a piece of land it’s the people that inhabit it.”

He called out for the safety and security of Kashmirs working, living and studying in India, post the Pulwama Attack. “Our enemies and those who back terrorism in J&K have been trying to drive this wedge so please please let’s not do their job for them. Kashmir isn’t just a piece of land it’s the people that inhabit it.”

He also tweeted, “By attacking them, terrorising them and forcing them to find shelter they are being told there is no place for them outside the valley & no future in the mainland.”

The National conference leader also appealed for calm earlier and asked GOI to provide security to Kashmiris outside the state.

Post an attack on CRPF men on Thursday, which caused the death of 50 CRPF troopers, anguish and anger is being witnessed in parts of India, This anger has resulted in attacks and threats against Kashmiris residing in various parts of India.
