VIDEO: Senior Kashmiri politician stands to bulldozers, Warns of ‘disastrous’ consequences during eviction drive

Senior Kashmiri politician and leader of Awami National Conference on Tuesday stood to bulldozers in Srinagar’s M.A road and called the admin to remove the Governor house in Kashmir, which he claimed was built on state land.

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday afternoon, the revenue officials along with Jammu Kashmir Police personnel reached Hotel Nedous at M.A road claiming that the same was encroached on “state land,” however, Muzaffar Shah came out holding the papers, which he claimed were the property documents and stood in front of the bulldozers.

Reacting to the state land eviction drives, Muzaffar claimed that the Hotel Nedous was built in the year 1835 and the land is in possession of the third generation of the builders of the Neoudous Hotel.

Claiming that these drives will have a disastrous impact he asked the revenue officials to remove Raj Bhavan (Governor’s house), which he alleged was built on state land.

Muzaffar Shah said that the eviction drives are being justified in various names, but they (admin) will not spare anyone. “It is highly unfortunate that such drives are being conducted. This will have highly dangerous consequences,” Muzaffar Shah warned.
