Seven Youth Arrested in Pulwama’s Kakapora During Nocturnal Raids

The Government Forces raided the Kakapora area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District late night on Sunday and arrested at least seven young boys from the area.

Locals speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Government Forces late night on Sunday broke into a few residential houses in this Pulwama locality and arrested ten boys from their houses.

Some of the arrested have been identified as Khan Adnan, Arfat Rather,  Muhammad Altaf Khan, Farooz Khan, Arbiz Khan, and Adil Khan, all residents of Narbal, Kakapora area in Pulwama.

The Government Forces have been conducting nocturnal raids in Kashmir since 2010 when an uprising began in the aftermath of killing of a teenage boy Tufail Ahmed Matoo and thousands of boys have been arrested from their houses in the dark of the night.

A Police official upon being contacted said that the youth have been detained for questioning in cases related to Militancy and stone throwing.
