South Kashmir Students Urge Kashmir University, IUST to Postpone exams

The Students of Kashmir University and IUST from South Kashmir have asked the university to postpone exams scheduled for tomorrow.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the students requested the university to postpone the exams keeping in consideration the Strike call for tomorrow.

A Student Aqib Ahmed from Memander Shopian writing his 5th Semester exams while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that, “We are unable to travel to Exam Centres during strike calls.”

Another student of BG Sixth semester alleged that the University is Srinagar centred saying, “If even a small incident takes place in Srinagar they postpone exams, while exams are held as per schedule when anything happens in South Kashmir.”

Another student Danish from Arihal Pulwama told The Kashmiriyat, “I tried to Awantipora this evening as my exam is scheduled tomorrow but was forced to come back from Arihal Pulwama as there was an undeclared curfew in Pulwama main town.”

“last time i was travelling to my examination centre in Islamabad township and we were caught between stone pelting and tear gas Shelling,” Sheezan Manzoor, a student of Kashmir University told The Kashmiriyat.

The students from Pulwama has also narrated the same concerns and has requested authorities to cancel tomorrow’s paper.
