Stone Throwing Clashes in Bijbehara Amid Shutdown Against Militant’s Killing

Spontaneous shutdown and clashes erupted in Bijbehara township of South Kashmir in Islamabad (anantnag) district on Thursday morning against the killing of a local Militant.

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that youth, dozens in number gathered near Zirpora area of Bijbehara shouting pro Freedom slogans threw stones on the forces deployed in the area, however the forces have not retaliated.

Vehicular movement has been heavily impacted and shops and other business establishments are shut in the area against the Militant killing.

Earlier the body of a Militant identified as Aadil Rehman Dass, a resident of Waghama area in Bijbehara was found on a hill in Sirhama area of this South Kashmir district.

The body of the slain has not been handed over to his family in Dasspora area of Waghama, where thousands of people have gathered to offer the funeral of the slain Militant.
