The administration of the Sufi shrine, Baba Hyder Reshi in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) township has said that the shrine is without electricity for the past ten days,
An official of the Waqf board told The Kashmiriyat that the issue had been appraised with the officials of the Power Development Department, however they have not taken any action as of yet.
They said that the for the past ten days that the shrine is without electricity and in complete darkness in this cold weather.
“it is a shame on the department that despite several requests to restore the electricity they have failed to do so, we demand that electricity be restored soon,” he said.
He said that the spiritual and conceptual personality of Kashmir is laid to rest, that place being kept under darkness is certainly a matter of concern and the authorities shall soon redress the issue.
