Locals of Mir Mohalla area of Kokernag belt in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) held a protest against non-availability of drinking water in the area from the last two years.

While talking to The Kashmiriyat a local told that we are approaching PHE Department from last 20 years but no action has been taken as of now.

Another local said that “we’re using tube well but unfortunately there is huge deficiency of drinking water, the problem only grows in summers.”

Meanwhile people from Mir Mohalla asked the PHE Officials and District Development Commissioner of the district to intervene into the matter and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
