Traffic Suspended on Kashmir Highway as Rains Lash Valley

July 28

The traffic on Kashmir highway from Jammu to Srinagar has been suspended Sunday morning as heavy rains continue to lash the Himalayan valley.

A Traffic official speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that, “Traffic movement was stopped on national highway due to shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal stretches.”

He said that as a precautionary measure the traffic has been suspended, adding that, “Due to the continued rainfall, we have disallowed traffic movement on the highway.”
