Two Brothers Among Three Youth Arrested in Pulwama

The Government forces on Sunday morning arrested three youth including two brothers in the Kareemabad area of South area of Pulwama district.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of Government forces including 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) laid a siege around the Kareemabad area on Sunday morning.

During the search operation, intense clashes erupted in the area during which two brothers identified as Rameez Ahmed and Yawar Ahmad Kumar were detained.

During the clashes, several youths were injured among which three persons were injured were shifted to district hospital Pulwama for the treatment.

Hospital Sources in Pulwama’s District hospital upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat said three youth who were brought the hospital have sustained minor pellet injuries.

A Police official confirmed the CASO, however said that he has no report about any arrests been made in the area.
