Two Militants Killed in Sopore Encounter

Two Militants have been killed during an encounter that raged  between militants and Government forces at Wadoora area in Sopore area in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.

The Senior Superintendent of Jammu Kashmir Police  told The Kashmiriyat  that a team of 22 RR, Jammu Kashmir police and 180 CRPF was fired upon by Militants in the Wadora area on Monday morning, after which the Army retaliated to the firing.

The Forces retaliated and the exchange of fire triggered an encounter, Officials told The Kashmiriyat that two to three Militants  believed to be trapped at the site of the encounter, during the firing both of them were killed.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that after a massive exchange of gunfire, a search operation is still underway in the area.

The identity of the slain Militants is yet to be ascertained, however they are believed to be from Lashkar e Taiba, one Local Militant and a foreigner.

Meanwhile Internet Services have been Snapped in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir. (The Kashmiriyat)
