Valley Erupts Over the Killing of Zakir Musa- Curfew Likely

Clashes have erupted in Sopore and various parts of Kashmir valley over the killing of Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind Kashmir chief, Zakir Musa on Thursday evening.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth hurled stones on Government Forces who responded with intense tear smoke shelling, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed.

Reports from Shopian’s Zainapora belt which is considered to be a hot-bed of Hizb ul Mujahideen said that youth in large numbers have gathered and are arranging vehicles to reach Tral to participate in the funeral of Zakir Musa.

In Pulwama Township too, youth have gathered on the streets amid pro Freedom and Pro Zakir Musa sloganeering, likewise in Islamabad (anantnag) township, people in large groups have gathered on the streets shouting pro Freedom slogans.

In Tral, thousands of people are trying to march towards the encounter site, where firing is still going on.

In Seer, hundreds of people are marching barefoot towards Tral which is at least 50 kilometers away from Seer Hamdan in Islamabad (anantnag) district.

Youth also hurled stones on Government Forces in Khanabal area of Islamabad (anantnag) district.

In Budgam, Kulgam too youth in large numbers have hit the streets to mourn the killing of Zakir Musa amid a complete ban on Mobile internet services in the entire valley.

In Dooru belt of Islamabad (anantnag), youth are seen boarding trucks and vehicles towards Tral, the native of slain Militant commander.

In Srinagar’s Nawa Kadal, Zaina Kadal and other areas of downtown srinagar youth poured onto the streets shouting pro Zakir Musa and Pro Independence slogans too.

Officials informed The Kashmiriyat that considering the law and order situation they are likely to impose curfew in the entire valley tomorrow.
