The presence of walnut trees in the school compound has been posing a threat to students of Government middle school at Dar Ganie Gund Village of Aripal Tehsil of Tral Sub-district in South Kashmir Pulwama.

The team of The Kashmiriyat observed that the Walnut trees are  about to fall down towards the school and some are lying on the Gabble and hip of the truss of the school building.

“These Walnut trees are becoming dangerous and are posing threat to our children. The soil was taken for construction of school and will fall down at any time as soil on its root was dug out and the roots of some of these walnut trees were cut down when this school was constructed,” said locals while talking to The Kashmiriyat.

These trees  are constant threat to the safety of children of the school and neighborhood besides posing a threat to property.

“These trees may fall any day and even as this can be seen, and as of now no steps have been taken to axe them. These trees should be cut besides  traditional or fruit-bearing plants,” the locals of Dar Ganie Gund demanded.
