“We are from the valley of Sufis who Taught Love”- Kashmir Driver Returns 10 Lakhs, Ornaments to Tourist Family

A cab driver from Kashmir is winning hearts online after he returned the lost bag of a tourist family along with other items in Shopian on Friday afternoon.

Reports said that Tariq Ahmed Naikoo, a sumo driver from Shopian returned a bag containing cash and other items to a tourist family who had lost it near Aharbal waterfall in the Kulgam district.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat Riyaz said that he was at Ahrbal when he found a bad with three mobile phones lying down along cash of 10 lacs and some ornaments, I searched the owners of the items and handed it back to them.”

Riyaz said that he comes from a place where love is preached and spread. “we come from the valley of Sufis who have always given a message of love and harmony, it is normal here,” Riyaz feels.

The tourist from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal along with his family had gone to to Aharbal in Kulgam when he lost his possessions, however within a couple of hours, Tariq approached the family and returned the bag that he had found.

Tariq on Tuesday was also appreciated by the Deputy commissioner of the Shopian District. He called him to his office and congratulated him for displaying honesty.
