“We Heard a Few Gunshots”- Militant Killed by Gunmen in Bijbehara Area

The Body of militant associated with ISJK has been found in mysterious circumstances in orchards of Sirhama village of Bijbehara belt in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the body of a Militant identified as Aadil Rehman Dass, a resident of Waghama area in Bijbehara was found on a hill in Sirhama.

They said that he was killed in a group clash with LeT militants as Adil had joined LeT last year and had recently switched to ISJK, however some reports also suggest that Aadil was killed during an ambush laid by security forces in the area.

The officials have not commented on the issue as of yet.

Aadil, as per sources was recently contacted by the Lashkar e Taiba (LET) to join back the outfit, but he did not accepted their demand and was killed.

They also said that there was no cordon in place in the area.”The Forces reached the area only after gunshots were heard,” a local said.

As per locals of the area, they heard few gunshots from nearby area on Wednesday evening without knowing what actually has happened in the area.
