12 Jaish e Muhammad militants have entered Kashmir; have taken shelter in North Kashmir: Report

As many as 12 Jaish-e-Mohammed militants have managed to infiltrate into Kashmir, according to the intelligence alert.

A report by India Today quoting an official input said, Twelve foreign origins (FT) Jaish e Muhammad men have managed to enter the Kashmir valley on February 13-14 in two different batches via the jungles of Jumagund (Keran sector) in Kupwara.

These militants who have possibly taken shelter in the Sopore and Bandipora areas of North Kashmir have satellite phones (Thuraya phones) as well as hand grenades with them.

The intelligence agency, as per the report, has revealed that both Kaiser Ahmad Dar, a resident of Pulwama, and foreign Militant Abu Saad – who were based in Pulwama – reached the Sopore area on February 21.
