Army’s RR has claimed that 180 Militants have remained in South Kashmir now after the killing of 6 Militants in en encounter with forces on Sunday.
Almost all the key commanders of the Lashkar and Hizb have been killed in South Kashmir, the Indian Army claimed adding that the Militant recruitment have also reduced.
Detailing the Shopian Encounter, Sector commander, Sachin Malik said that the siege at Batgund Shopian started around midnight and The encounter began after an hour.
“Two of these killed Militants were involved in civilian casualties. These Militants had a hand in the killing of Lieutenant Omar Fayaz,” he said.

The Government forces have killed nearly 44 Militants in South Kashmir’s Shopian District. Most of the Militants commanders have now been killed.
He said out of total active Militants, About 15 percent of them are foreigners.
