20-year-old youth dies while playing cricket in Baramulla

A somber day unfolded on Friday (January 26) when tragedy struck the cricket field, claiming the life of 20-year-old fast bowler Suhab Yaseen.

Engaged in a cricket match in the Hanjiwera area of Pattan, located within the Baramulla district of Kashmir, Suhaib tragically passed away on the spot.

According to reports from the local news gathering agency KNS, the young cricketer collapsed during his run-up to bowl, prompting immediate efforts to rush him to the hospital.

Unfortunately, all attempts were in vain, and Suhaib was declared brought dead upon arrival.

While awaiting a comprehensive report, preliminary details suggest the possibility of Suhaib having suffered a heart attack during the cricket match.

The cricketing community mourns the loss of a promising talent, and the local ex-Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Imran Reza Ansari, took to social media, expressing heartfelt condolences to Suhaib’s bereaved family.

“In the wake of tragedy, Pattan grieves the loss of Suhaib Yaseen, a spirited soul who met an untimely end on the cricket field today. The pain is shared by the entire people of Pattan. My thoughts are with Suhaib’s family as they navigate this profound sorrow. May we collectively find strength & support to cope with this heartbreaking loss,” the ex-MLA conveyed in a heartfelt message on social media, encapsulating the sentiments of the community during this difficult time.
