Search Operation Launched in Batamaloo Area of Srinagar

October 03 The Government Forces on Wednesday  launched a cordon and search operation in the Daywarwani area of Batamloo in Srinagar District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday, the forces including CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Dayrwani area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Srinagar locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. October 03 The Kashmir urban Local body polls have been worth watching as they happen amid high political drama and a massive unrest. Figures available to The Kashmiriyat have revealed that out of the total 634 Municipal wards in the valley, no candidate has filled Nomination papers for 177 municipal wards while a single candidate has filed nomination papers for 215 wards. The Voting for the ULB Polls will be conducted on the 8, 10, 13 and 16, of October, while the filing of nomination papers for the four-phase municipal polls has ended on Tuesday.
