The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday said that that they filed charge sheet against the HM Module they busted in the month of September. An official press statement issued to The Kashmiriyat said that On 14th September 2020, three youth namely Arshid Ahmad Khan S/O Mohd Altaf Khan R/O Wayil Wudder, Majid Rasool Rather S/O Ghulam Rasool Rather R/O Beehama Ganderbal and Mohd Aasif Najar S/O Abdul Razaq Najar R/O Beehama Ganderbal were taken into detention. Cow is the Foundation of Indian Economy, Says Gujrat Governor Acharya Devrat

  On Wednesday, speaking during the seventh annual convocation of Kamdhenu University in Gandhinagar, Governor Gujarat, Acharya Devrat, claimed that cow was the foundation of the Indian economy, as it increases the income of farmers. Quoting a research conducted by scientists from Hisar’s Agriculture University, he told the students that 1 gram of cow dung from indigenous cows has over 300 crore bacteria present in it which helps in improving fertility of the soil while cow urine is rich in minerals. He also said that the Indian breed cow products (cow urine and dung) are best for farming and have enriched minerals in them which western cows don’t have. He added that the cow milk gives nutrition while cow dung helps in agriculture, which can increase the income of farmers....

Muslim Youth Arrested Under Anti-Conversion Law in Uttar Pradesh

On Wednesday, a youth namely Tabarak Khan, a native of Samastipur in Bihar was arrested by police in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh under the anti-conversion law for kidnapping a minor girl and forcibly marrying her. The police said that he was living in a rented house in Shahpur, Uttar Pradesh, he kidnapped the girl from his neighborhood and forcibly married to her on March 1. The police said that a case of kidnapping along with provisions of the anti-conversion law has been lodged against the man, while further sections of law will be added if required after the girl’s statement in the court. Farmers Union Calls for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on March 26th

  On Wednesday, farmer unions called for a bharat bandh or countrywide shutdown on March 26, when farmer’s protest at borders of Delhi against the Centre’s three new farm laws completes four months. Farmer leader Buta Singh Burjgill said farmers along with trade unions will protest the hike in fuel prices and privatisation of railways on March 15. He said that the bharat bandh will remain effective from morning till evening at Singhu border on March 26. The farmers will observe “Mandi Bachao-Kheti Bachao” day on March 19, he added. Six Houses Gutted in Midnight Blaze in Nawbazar Srinagar

  Six residential houses were gutted overnight in a fire incident in Jammu Kashmir’s Srinagar district. Police said fire engulfed the residential houses in the densely populated Nawabazar locality in the old city area here. “Fire tenders were immediately pressed into service and the blaze was controlled from spreading. “Six residential houses have been completely destroyed. Authorities have deputed field staff to assess the damage. The exact cause of fire is being investigated,” police sources said.

Two Minor Cousins Abducted in Shopian, Recovered from Srinagar within 12 Hours

Meer Irfan  Two cousin sisters from Shopian of Class 7th and 10th went missing from their home in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that the Jammu Kashmir Police filed an FIR was registered under section 363 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station at Zainapora and swung into action to find the missing cousins. Within twelve hours of the initiation of the investigation, 25 persons were questioned and the girls were recovered from the Srinagar district of Central Kashmir. The boy arrested in the case is said to be from Srinagar. Both girls are minor by age and according to reports, the kidnapper has been arrested within 12 hours after the parents filed a missing persons report.
