India Condemns UK Lawmaker’s Debate on Farmers

  The High Commission of India in London has condemned a debate among some British lawmakers on an e-petition over the right of peaceful protests and freedom of the press in India amid the ongoing farmers’ stir against three New Delhi laws on agricultural reform. 45 -Year-Old Woman was Found Buried on the Bank of a River in Jharkhand

  On Monday, in Jharkhand, a 45 -year-old woman was found buried on the bank of a river in Pakur District. The body of the woman was chopped in pieces. The body was identified as Sona Marandi by the police. The woman was missing since February 24, and was recovered from the bank of Bansloi river near Rangatola, the area comes under Amrapara police station. The in charge of the police station, Manoj Kumar said that the villagers had informed the police after they noticed a severed leg on the bank of a river. Madhya Pradesh Assembly Passes Freedom of Religion Bill

  On Monday, the Madhya Pradesh Assembly passed the Freedom of Religion Bill, 2021 with a voice note, amid opposition from Congress and chants of Jai Shree Ram from the treasury benches. The bill is aimed to check religious conversions through marriage or any other fraudulent means in the state. 15-Year-Old Girl Raped by Nine Men in Rajasthan

  A 15-year-old girl was raped by nine men for eight days at different places in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district. The girl after escaping reached her home on Friday after which a formal complaint was lodged. According to a report in the Mid day four accused persons, including two minors, have been arrested in connection with the case, the police confirmed. The victim further alleged that a few people joined them at a park where she was drugged and then raped. Fire at a Railway Building in Kolkata Kills 9

  On Monday evening, a fire broke out in an office complex at central Kolkata's Strand Road where three civilians, four Firemen, a Police Officer and a Railway Protection Force staff died.   Five of the seven bodies were found in an elevator of after the fire broke out on the 13th floor of the sprawling building at around 6.10 pm.
