Woman Dies in UP as Doctors Leave a Piece of Cloth in Stomach During Surgery

A woman, has died here in a Lucknow hospital during treatment, after being critically ill when doctors at Government Medical College supposedly left a piece of cloth in her stomach during a cesarean operation. As per a report by NDTV, the woman, who was admitted to the trauma centre of King George's Medical College in a critical condition and was on a ventilator, died on Monday, her husband said on Wednesday. Taking note of the hapening,the principal of the medical college, Rajesh Kumar, had formed a three-member inquiry committee to probe the allegation. Locals rescued a 25-year-old girl after she jumped into the Mansbal Lake to end her life. Locals sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a girl on Thursday morning attempted suicide after she jumped into the Mansbal Lake in Safapora here in North Kashmir. A 11-year-old Palestinian child was shot by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, according to local residents. The child was returning from grocery shopping with his parents. The child was injured in the head when Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle at the entrance of the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, Muhammad Ayyad, a Palestinian resident, told Anadolu Agency. The child was rushed to hospital for treatment. There was no comment from the Israeli army on the report.
