One person was killed, two others injured in a road accident in the Chatbal area of Kulgam district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday noon, a two wheeler collided with a tipper in the Chatbal area, causing injuries to three persons.
The trio was rushed to the hospital, however, one of them succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Altaf Ahmed Sheikh, son of Ali Mohd Sheikh , a resident of Mirhama Kulgam. He was 21.
The registration number of the vehicles that collided was tipper JK04A 5847 and the motorcycle was registered under the number DL9SAA 3391, the official said.
The identities of the injured are being confirmed, he said.
Police has taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law, the official said.
