26-year-old cricketer dies after falling from a two storey building at Handwara

A budding Cricket allrounder from north Kashmir’s  Watergam Rafiabad town succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday morning.

Family members confirming his death to The Kashmiriyat said that Tahir Lone (26), had been injured after he fell down from a two-story house in the north Kashmir town on Saturday.

Popularly known as Lala in Handwara, Tahir was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.

The 26-year-old breathed his last at SKIMS hospital in Srinagar.

Hundreds of people amid the inclement weather have rushed to his residence to pay solidarity to the family and participate in the last rites of the youth.
