5th Covid Death in a Single Day Reported from Jammu Kashmir- Toll 112

A 65-year-old man from Tarigam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district has died due to Novel Coronavirus at SKIMS, thus taking the death toll due to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir to 112, officials said on Thursday.

Professor Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent, SKIMS said that a 65-year-old man from Tarigam village of Kulgam, who was referred to SKIMS on June 23 from GMC Anantnag, died at the SKIMS at around 2:30 PM.

He said the patient was referred to SKIMS in view of Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) with ARDS.

Earlier in a day, four patients including a 73-year-old lady from Batamallo Srinagar, 75-year-old man from Budgam, 55-year-old man from Hatipora Kulgam and 65-year-old man from Sopore have also died in Kashmir due to COVID-19.

With one more death, the death toll due to COVID-19 has reached to 112 in J&K including 13 from Jammu division and 99 from Kashmir division—(KNO)
