Nine girls, mostly teenagers from an Islamic seminary have memorized the holy Quran in less than a year.
These girls who study at the Jamia Syeda Hafsa Darul Aloom hail from Kashmir’s Bandipora, Kupwara, Pulwama and Srinagar districts.
Another girl from the Darul Uloom, as per the teachers, has memorized the Quran in merely 38 days.
Anjum Binti Javed from Karnah, Haditre says that first she used to study at Maqtab from where she got interest in Hifz e Quran , her parents also encouraged her to do so. “Quran is in our heart we will never stop reciting Quran, where ever we go, we will do Quran Tilawat InshaAllah. I would to love teach people Quran in Future. I also to become ‘Quran Aalimah’, I want to learn alum of Quran”.
Shafia binti Bashir Ahmad Shah from Lolab memorised the Holy Quran in only 79 days. “We used to recite Quran all day, we don’t sleep until 12 am, as we are doing Quran Tilawat till then. Its is very important to understand and recite Holy Quran as obcinity is common these days now it is duty of every Muslim to understand and learn Quran, so that we can share the knowledge of Islam to other people”.
Another girl from Lolab, Kupwara memorised the Holy Quran in two months and 21 days want to say that people should recite Quran and understand what Allah has to say to us.
Another Girl from Gurez namely Ruksana binte Adbur Rehman memorised the whole Quran in Only 2 months. It was my interest to Hifz the Holy Quran we used to read and memorise most of the time, and even spent night time for memorising and it helped me to memorised in only couple of months.
Sabhat binti Lateef from Bemina, Srinagar memorised the Quran in 4 months.
Sadiya binte Rafiq from Karnah memorised the Holy in 13 months. Sadiya says, “i want to tell people to go to Madrasas and gain Islamic knowledge and memorise Quran like we do”.
Ruksana binti Adur Rauf from Karnah memorised Quran with in a year.
Sadiya binti Rafiq from Karnah lives in this Darul Aloom from last 3 years, memorised the holy Quran with in a year.
Bisma binti Bashir belongs to Tral area ad finished the Quran in less than four months.
“I am really happy with my students that they have made a world record. In my Madrasa there is an Orphan girl from Gurez who memorised the Holy Quran only in 38 days. Another from Gurez memorised in 2 months and 2 sisters from Lolab memorised in 2 months and few days. One from Srinagar memorised in 4 months. Nothing like this has happened anywhere, it is a blessings from Allah on us and thank Almighty Allah. families and relatives of these students are very proud. if we talk about crime, you people (media persons) know it well, we have seed 2 incidents till now where children killed their father, this is the worst thing happened. We really need to get closed to Quran till then no one can solve these kind of worst things,” the teacher of the Darul Uloom said.
Emphasizing on the need to fund local Islamic seminaries, he said, “We get funds from locals only. We don’t accept funds from outside nor from any agency or NGOs or forum. Still we are in debt of 2, 3 Lakhs, fare of building of about 3 lakh rupees, it’s a Masjid building. For rebuilding the floor burnt in a fire incident last year, We have to pay more than 3 lakhs. Also due to the increasing number of students we have to take another building , having 16 rooms and a kitchen and we need to buy things like kitchen utensils, furniture’s for all 16 rooms, nerd to buy thongs for computer lab, also need money to maintain the hall where have to open a lab. we request people in this precious month of Ramadan, help this Madrasa
