On the first martyrdom anniversary of Iran’s top-notch General of The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is a branch of the Iranian Armed Forces, founded after the Iranian Revolution on 22 April 1979 by order of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
Shia Muslims in Kashmir staged a number of protest demonstrations and seminars on the first martyrdom anniversary of Iran’s military general Qasim Soleimani, who was assassinated by American drone airstrikes last year on the Baghdad international airport on January 3rd, 2020.
Today scores of Shia peaceful protesters poured out onto the streets in many Shia dominated areas and chanting anti-American and Anti Israel slogans “death to America, ” “Down with Israel. ”
While carrying the banners of Iran’s top military commander, they said he fought not for Iran, but for the protection of human values and saved the world from American backed terrorism in the middle east.
Calling for hard revenge against the assassination of general, a protester Ali Mohammad Sofi, told The Kashmiriyat that General Qasim Soleimani fought the oppressed classes across the globe. “He actively launched anti-terror operations in many parts of the Middle East while following the ethics and norms of the battle. He sacrificed his life for humanity,” Sofi said.
“Assassination of Sovereign country’s Top military general was the breach of international laws and standards, and such crimes should be condemned by all the section of society, ” Protesters said.
It’s pertinent to mention that after his assassination the tension is escalating between Tehran and Washington on international fronts.
