Over 99% have taken first dose, 30% second dose
The Jammu and Kashmir administration is yet to give the first dose of the Covid vaccine to all above 45 years even after one month it missed two deadlines.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had set a deadline to vaccinate all the people above 45-years of age till June end, however, since then one more month has passed but the administration is yet to complete the process.
As per the data available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), 13 districts in J&K which includes Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Samba, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal have already completed 100 per cent mark, however, seven districts are yet to complete the process.
Pertinently, LG earlier on May 16 had set 10 days to vaccinate all above 45, however, the deadline was missed by a long margin and later June end was set as another deadline.
Since then one more month has passed, but there are still a few thousand people above 45 years who are yet to get vaccinated.
A top health official said that they would be vaccinated in the coming few days.
As per the data, over 99 per cent of the population above the 45 age group has received the first dose of the vaccine while around 30 per cent of people have received the second jab.
In Srinagar, around 95 per cent of people above 45 years have received the first jab while 20 per cent have received the second dose.
In Kulgam 100 per cent have received the first jab and 28 per cent have received the second jab.
In Shopian, 100 per cent received the first jab and 42 per cent received the second dose. In Bandipora, 100 per cent and 25 per cent have received first and second jabs respectively.
In Anantnag, 100 per cent have received the first dose and 27 per cent have received the second dose and in Baramulla, 100 per cent have received the first jab and 26 per cent have received the second jab.
In Kupwara, 84 per cent have received the first jab and 16 per cent have received the second shot. In Pulwama, 100 per cent have received the first jab while 29 per cent have received the second jab. In Ganderbal 100 per cent have received the first jab and 38 per cent have received the second jab and in Budgam, 100 per cent of workers have received the first jab while 30 per cent have received the second jab.
Similarly in Jammu, Kishtwar, Doda, Udhampur, Kuthua, Ramban, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi 100 per cent, 98 per cent, 93 per cent, 92 per cent, 96 per cent, 100 per cent, 100 per cent, 100 per cent, 100 per cent and 92 per cent persons above 45 years of ace have received the first jab while as 46 per cent, 29 per cent, 24 per cent, 33 per cent, 32 per cent, 40 per cent, 45 per cent, 22 per cent 17 per cent and 23 per cent have received the second dose respectively.
In aggregate form, of 3,076,289 persons above 45 years of age 3,058,594 (99 per cent) have received the first jab and 895,990 (30 per cent) have received the second jab respectively
