Naveed Jutt Likely Killed, Three Army Men Injured in Budgam Encounter

The Encounter that had raged in Chatergam Budgam in the early hours of Wednesday has ended with the killing of two militants and three army men have also been injured.

Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that the joint operation was being conducted by 50 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force.

The forces had laid a siege around the Chatergam area after receiving credible inputs about the presence of two Militants in the area, who during the search operation opened fire upon Forces, triggering a gunfight.

In the ensuing gunfight, one Army man and two Militants were killed, the house in which the Militants were holed up has also been damaged during the encounter.

Among the slain Militants, Naveed Jatt, the top most commander of Lashkar e Taiba has been killed, Times Now News Channel reported.

Meanwhile Mobile Internet services have been suspended in Budgam District. (The Kashmiriyat)
