A family from Kanir area of Budgam’s Chadoora area in central Kashmir alleged that they were attacked by miscreants during the dark of the night.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, Ghulam Hassan Dar, said that at around 10 PM, a non local entered their house using a ladder and attacked the inmates with a sword, causing injuries to Hassan’s two daughters.
“We were sleeping when I suddenly noticed an absurd noise of someone knocking at the door. I went out and checked to find this man (a non-local) inside the house. I tried to hold him, but he used a spray against my eyes, following which I fell unconscious,” he alleged.
Ghulam Hassan said that the man was slamming at the door of the room, wherein the family’s female members were asleep.
“When they opened the door, he swung a sword and attacked them, two of them were injured during the attack,” Ghulam Hassan said.
Following this, all of the female members ran after him, but he somehow managed to escape leaving behind his sword, his cellphone and other possessions he had brought along, including a poison, a sword, and a can of petrol among other things.
He said that the accused had worked as a labourer in the area, the last year, during which he had created troubles for his daughters after which the family also filed a case of harassment against the accused.
He said that the accused drives a bulldozer and was initially hired by the PMGSY as a labourer.
Ghulam Hassan Dar said that the accused didn’t come back to Budgam, and instead worked in some other district of Kashmir valley for a long time and yesterday, he appeared all of a sudden and attacked the family.
