
Afreen Hyder, a Kashmiri Taekwondo player, is the first athlete from Jammu Kashmir to earn a silver medal in Kyorugi.
The 23-year-old represented Jammu Kashmir at the 39th National Senior Taekwondo Championships, which were held in Guwahati, Assam between September 9 and 11.
The All Assam Taekwondo Association organized the Championship, which was sanctioned by the Taekwondo Federation of India and approved by the Indian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Afreen defeated Rajasthan in her first match, Sikkim in her second, Manipur in her third, and Madhya Pradesh in her fourth. However, Kerala defeated her in the championship match.
