A fresh encounter has raged between militants and Government forces at Mir Mohallah area of Gulshanpora in Tral belt of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of 42 RR, SOG, Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Renzipora area on Thursday morning.
During the search operation, the Militants opened fire on the forces, who retaliated and the initial exchange of fire continued for at least fifteen minutes, as per sources, However, nobody was injured as per reports.
As per Initial inputs received by The Kashmiriyat, two to three Militants were believed to be holed up in an open area.
Locals meanwhile told The Kashmiriyat that the firing started around 0845 am, however the exchange of fire has restarted now.

Pertinently the encounter is the first one to rage between Forces and Militants in the fresh year, earlier 2018 was the bloodiest year in over a decade. (The Kashmiriyat)
