In a rare admission, Israeli Defence forces have said that Iran’s missile strike on Tuesday evening targeted Israeli military bases, causing damage.
The Israeli Air Force maintained that no civilians, soldiers, or aircraft were harmed.
Approximately 180 missiles were launched by Iran, hitting army installations as well as populated areas.
However, the IDF emphasized that none of its fighter jets were hit, and the damage did not significantly impact the military’s operational capabilities,a claim denied by media outlets and Independent journalists.
Independent media outlets and Journalists reported that 20 F35 planes were damaged while three airbases were completely damaged.
The Iranian attack, which Iran said was a retaliation to Israel’s intrusion of Iran’s international boundaries last month, which led to the death of Ismail Hanyeih.
The IDF said that it remains fully prepared to strike back if necessary, though immediate retaliation against Iran may be delayed.
Social media footages, which have come out despite the ban imposed by Israel on photography, reveal that a massive damage has been caused to the military infrastructure.
Earlier, the Israeli media reported that 100 structures were damaged during the Iranian airstrikes, which hit Tel Aviv, bypassing Iron dome, Israel’s air defense system.
