The five slain Militants killed in Kelam encounter in Kulgam district of South Kashmir have been identified by Police.
The Police identified the slain as Waseem Bashir Rather alias Zeeshan of Ashumji Kulgam, Zahid Parray of Gopal Pora, Damhal Hanjipora, Kulgam, Idrees Bhat of Arwani, Aaqib Nazir of Zangal Pora Kulgam and Parvaz Bhat (Hubaib) of Mukdampora, Quimoh, Kulgam.
An Army official told The Kashmiriyat that five dead bodies were recovered from the encounter site on Sunday noon.

He said that in the early hours of Sunday, the forces laid a siege around Kelam area after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area.
“Around 5:30 am, the holed up Militants opened fire on Forces, triggering a gunfight,” he told The Kashmiriyat.
In the ensuing gunfight, five Militants were been killed.
The bodies of all the five slain have been handed over to their families
