BJP MLA Vikram Randhawa has sparked controversy by issuing an “Open warning” to the Jammu Kashmir government, accusing them of discriminating against Jammu residents.

“This is our open warning. All trucks with essentials and rice pass through Jammu and if Jammu is discriminated, we will not allow that discrimination,” he told the press.

He warned that Jammu MLAs who have joined the current government should realize that “there is nothing left in the bogey of Kashmiriyat and the government will give nothing to them or Jammu.”

Randhawa added, “The bogey is empty, and they should come out of this misbelief soon,” signaling growing frustration within the region.

Randhwa criticized the administration for excluding Hindi and Sanskrit from the list of 575 recently advertised government posts. Pertinently, languages including Punjabi and Dogri were included.

“Who is going to teach Persian and Panjabi? There’s nobody here who can teach persian, while hundreds of Hindi and Sanskrit graduates are left jobless,” he said.

To protest what he described as a “discriminatory policy,” Randhawa declared plans to stage demonstrations.
