At least four Militants led by Zeenat ul Islam appeared in the funeral and offered gun salute to the slain Militant, Sabzar Ahmed Sofi, eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat.
He had reportedly joined Militants in August2016, as per police sources.

Sabzar was responsible for many recruitment for Hizb ul Mujahideen from South Kashmir districts and was also the master planner behind the recent Police kidnappings in South Kashmir, Sources said.
“We tried to search him but after failing to search him we lodged an FIR at Police station Bijbehara,” said his mother Hajira.
“I think it is just that we all are witnessing on daily basis the atrocities of forces which is forcing young educated and cream of kashmir to pick up guns,” she said.
After joining ranks all militants come home any day to meet their family members however Sabzar had never came home despite more than 2 years having passed.
Today the mood was calm though, people prayed for the popular commander to be safe, a local from Naina Sangam told The Kashmiriyat.
Prayers were also held in a local mosque for the Militant commander who was trapped in the Srinagar encounter.
After a fierce gunfight, Shakoor had been killed along with his associate.
His body was handed over to his family in utter disbelief, when the body reached the native area of Naina Sangam.
Women burst into wailing and the whole area reverberated with pro Freedom slogans and people from many far areas had come to get a last glimpse of the fallen Militant commander.
Sabzar will be laid to rest in the afternoon at his native area in Sangam area of South Kashmir.
