A one day artisan awareness camp was organized at Achabal by the Handicrafts and Handloom Department Kashmir at Achabal, Anantnag.
On this occasion, Assistant Director Handicrafts and Handloom department encouraged the artisans to avail the facilities that are available for them.
The camp aimed to generate awareness among local artisans and the general public about the scope of the Handicrafts Sector.
Assistant Director Handicrafts, encouraged the people to enroll in craft training programs of the department, which will, in turn, generate employment opportunities for them. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat he said that people can set up cooperative societies after learning the crafts and reap the benefits of the schemes of the Government.
The assistant director encouraged the people to learn the skills, and make it a source of livelihood.
