Authorities at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura announced on Friday that visiting attendants will only be allowed to meet their patients from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM daily.
This restriction has been implemented to mitigate the risk of infections to patients, and no visitors will be permitted outside of these hours.
In addition, the hospital has prohibited the entry of food items such as rice, tea, and fruits into the facility. “It is for the information of the general public that they will be allowed to see their patients on a daily basis from 03:00 to 05:30 PM only. Due to the threat of infection to patients, one is not allowed to see patients before or after the given schedule. Food items like rice, tea, and fruits etc. are not allowed inside hospital premises,” the Medical Superintendent of SKIMS stated in a communication.
“We request you to cooperate with us for better patient management,” the superintendent added.
