A teenager was killed and two other, seriously injured after they were hit by a speeding car at Saffron town Pampore on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Nazila Jan daughter of Mohammad Rafiq Bhat resident of Tulbagh Pampore.
The Injured girls identified as Natika daughter of Mohammad Rafiq Bhat Tabin Nazir daughter of Nazir Ahmad Pandit residents of Tulbagh Pampore.
SHO Pampore Manzoor Ahmad said that the accident took place after a speedy car hit the girls in the saffron fields on Pampore -Khrew road near Tulbagh.
“The vehicle an Alto car bearing registration number JK13F-0346 hit the girls,” said police adding that a case FIR 57/2020 under section 279, 337, 427 IPC registered at police station Pampore.
Police also said that the vehicle involved in the incident was seized and the driver of the vehicle has been absconding and will be arrested soon.
