A Cordon and Search Operation has been launched by Government Forces in Chandgam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
As soon as the Anti Militancy Operation was launched by Forces, scores of youth hit the streets shouting pro Freedom slogans, A local told The Kashmiriyat.
Officials confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir police and CRPF launched the operation after receiving specific inputs about presence of Militants in the area.
Meanwhile the troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth.
The youth made announcements on mosque loudspeakers asking others to come out.
The search operation and the clashes were going on when this report was filed.
