Joint Forces launched a massive cordon and search operation (CASO) in the main town of Bandipora in North Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that forces including Army’s 14 RR, para-military troopers and Jammu Kashmir Police cordoned off the main chowk of Bandipora and Sabzi Mandi, Gulshan Chowk and the adjoining areas.
The operation was launched after the inputs about the movement of militants in the area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that all the entry and exit points have been sealed to the area.
The search operation was underway till the filing of this report.
