Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Iqra daughter of Riyaz Ahmed, a resident of Chek e Wazoo aged 15 left her home on Saturday afternoon after which she did not return. "Iqra, the teenage girl is mentally unsound. We went from one place to other to search her, but so far, we have been unable to find her," they said. Inclement weather forecast: Health dept asks hospital authorities to stay prepared

In view of the forecast of inclement weather conditions, the health department in Kashmir has directed the hospital authorities to remain prepared to cater any kind of medical emergency. As per a circular issued by the Director Health Services Kashmir, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the hospital authorities have been directed to keep sufficient stock of medicines and other life saving drugs available at all hospitals. Locals told The Kashmiriyat on Saturday afternoon a 13-year-old girl identified as Maliha Mudasir daughter of Mudasir Ahmed, a resident of Rajbagh Srinagar has gone missing from Srinagar. They said that Maliha was last seen at Kabi bridge on Friday afternoon towards Sonwar area of Srinagar. "She called her family from someone's phone after which we have been trying to constantly find her. We have also filed a missing report at the concerned Police station," her uncle told The Kashmiriyat. Ramban road sinking: 50 houses damaged, families being shifted to safer places, says DC

At least 50 houses got damaged after a road caved in Pernote area of Ramban district on last evening, officials said on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-ul-Haq told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that 30 residential houses got damaged in the initial stage and later 20 more got affected. "We are shifting the affected families to the safer places and the administration is making arrangements for food and other related stuff for the affected families," he said. Eleven days after Srinagar boat tragedy, body of minor boy found near Rajbagh

Eleven days after going missing, the dead body of the seventh victim in Srinagar boat tragedy has been found. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that the body of a young child was found floating in the Jhelum river near Rajbagh in Srinagar. They said that the body has been handed over to the Police who have taken it for medico-legal formalities. "The body has not been identified as of yet, however, the body recovered is that of a young child," said locals. Earlier on April 16, a boat carrying 19 persons capsized in Srinagar:s Gandbal area when it was crossing Jhelum river, six persons died in the incident, while ten were rescued. Officials and locals have been on massive searches since then to locate the three missing persons.
