Danishwar Hameed one militant has been killed during an encounter that broke out between militants and government forces in Mirhama area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. During the cordon, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said Two militants are believed to be trapped in the area. During the exchange of gunfire, one foreign militant has been killed during the initial exchange of fire, whose is yet to be identified, the official said.

Official told The Kashmiriyat that a youth identified as Murtaza Rengrez (22), son of Shaheen Ahmad, a resident of Bongam Kulgam was found dead on the banks of river in Katrasoo, Kulgam this morning. "The deceased had gone yesterday to wash his car bearing registration number (JK05D-7923). However, today morning his body found in the nearby river bank" he said. The deceased was a student of Govt.
